Meghan Markle swaps poppy cardigan for nearly $5,000 suit to visit veterans with Prince Harry
Meghan Markle swapped one designer outfit for another while visiting veterans with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex kicked off her stay at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California on Thursday Carolina Herrera cardigan ($1,490) and her previously recycled Lafayette 148 dress ($398) Worn at the Invictus Games in September.
Her blue wool sweater has a red poppy embroidery on it.
The flowers were placed primarily in memory of the veterans and their families, Markle, 42, and Harry, 39, who shook hands at Marine Corps Base Camp.
Later in the day, the former actress incorporated the same flower into her outfit when she changed into a Giorgio Armani suit for the opening of a new veterans training facility.
Markle’s button front blazer ($3,095), which she paired with Mulberry silk wide leg pants ($1,695), pinned with a Royal British Legion poppy.
Harry wore the same accessory on the lapel of his suit.
