Memphis, Tennessee Law enforcement officials arrested a man on Sunday in connection with a spate of crimes across the city that left one person dead and several others injured, according to police, who added that the man was out on bail on murder charges.

Just after 10 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of a carjacking in the 3700 block of East Shelby Drive, in which a blue Nissan Maxima was taken.
As investigators looked into the carjacking, they determined the suspect may be connected to four other crimes.
A crime that also occurred on East Shelby Drive was shooting One man was killed; another occurred on Pilot Drive, where shots were fired, but no injuries were reported. There was also a shooting in the business district. A male teenager was shot to death along with two women. One was in serious condition, while the other was in non-critical condition.
The suspect is described as a black man wearing all black clothing, a black ski mask and purple shoes. He is also believed to be driving a white 2016 Dodge Charger that was carjacked during the carjacking on South Perkins Road.
The 20-year-old man was arrested around 3:45 a.m. after a collaborative effort between local, state and federal law enforcement partners and community members.
Sheriff “CJ” Davis said, “My heart aches for the families of the victims and those affected by these senseless acts of violence. Through the hard work and quick actions of the Memphis Police Department, more was undoubtedly avoided.” Multiple incidents occurred.”
