When does the NBA in-season tournament start?
The group competition begins on November 3rd. The group stage is played only on Tuesdays and Fridays in November, but there are no games on November 7, Election Day. Each team will play four group matches: two home games and two away games. All games count towards regular season records and statistics.

NBA In-Season Championship Group Stage Standings
How does the NBA in-season tournament work?
The team with the best record in each group and the two wild-card teams will advance to the knockout rounds, for a total of eight teams. The wild-card team will be the team with the best record in each division’s group stage but the second-ranked team in its group.
The four knockout matches include a single-elimination knockout quarter-final hosted by the team with the best group stage record on December 4-5. The quarterfinals will be broadcast live on TNT in a doubleheader on December 4-5.
The semifinals and championship will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on December 7 and 9, respectively. The games will also be televised nationally. The first semifinal will air on December 7 at 5pm ET on ESPN, and the second game will air on TNT at 9pm ET. The championship will take place on December 9 at 8:30 pm ET and will be televised on ABC.
The championship game is the only game that does not count toward regular season records and statistics. For both teams, this game will count as the 83rd game, one more than the other teams’ 82 games.
Teams that do not advance to the knockout rounds will play two overtime games on December 6 and 8 to complete the 82-game schedule. Teams that lose in the knockout quarterfinals will play an additional regular season game on December 6th and 8th. December 8th.
Teams that advance to the knockout round will receive a bonus pool, and the champion will receive the NBA trophy. Based on performance in the group and knockout rounds, the in-season tournament MVP and All-Star Game team will be selected. .
How is the NBA In-Season Championship different from the regular regular season?
There is one Prize pool Teams that advance to at least the quarterfinals. Players on the quarterfinal teams will receive $50,000, and players on the semifinal teams will receive $100,000. Players on the runner-up team will receive $200,000, and players on the winning team in the in-season tournament will receive $200,000 and earn $500,000.

This is the first time in league history that an alternate stadium will be used for all 30 teams.
