Luda Kris Kringle? Hip-hop star reveals his first alias was inspired by Santa Claus: ‘I used to write Christmas rap songs.’

This character is related to Luda. While it’s known that the popular ATL hip-hop artist has been rapping since he was a kid, he revealed to Yahoo Entertainment that his alias during that time was very similar to Santa Claus.

“My first rap name when I was 9 years old was Kris Kringle. Then I realized there was only so much Christmas rap I could do, so I had to change my name. But you just came up with something that not too many people know Stuff,” Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, told Yahoo Entertainment while promoting the holiday movie.

“Kris Kringle. Yes, I used to write letters to Santa, but more importantly, I used to write Christmas rap.”

Comedian and co-star Lil Rel Howery, who was sitting next to Luda, chimed in: “You call yourself Kris Kringle? That’s so funny.”

Growing up, Howery said he enjoyed family time during the holidays. “I think the most fun thing for me is family. Especially when you get something new and you can wait to show it to your cousins, we used to go to church on Christmas Day like we would open it early The gift then has to be prepared to go to church,” he said.
