Instagram launches marketplace to connect brands and creators in 8 new countries | TechCrunch

Instagram said today it is expanding its marketplace tools to connect brands with creators for paid collaborations or advertising in eight new countries. New markets that will enter the market include Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Japan, India and Brazil.

The company has just started Testing the platform in the US in 2022. The company said it has recruited “thousands” of creators and brands since then.Last year, the social media company added API capabilities for creator outreach and building briefs; and invite institutions to use the platform.

Meta added that in addition to opening the platform to brands from these eight countries, Chinese export brands will also be invited to connect with creators outside of China.

The company said that over the next few weeks, it will invite brands and creators to join the marketplace in these eight new regions. Marketers can establish paid partnerships with creators and even contact creators. Partner advertisingwhich allows advertisers to promote organic content as ads.

Once creators join the platform via the professional dashboard within the Instagram app, they can highlight their content and list brands and interests relevant to them.

In the marketplace, Meta uses its machine learning algorithms to help match brands with relevant creators for specific marketing campaigns. Companies can also manually search for creators and apply filters across creator and audience categories as well as ad experiences to refine results.

Creators will see all requests and conversations with brands through the marketplace in a new folder on Instagram called “Partner Posts.” They can also view campaign details in the app.
