He speculated that the 32-year-old ex-con would fare best if he took his time as he adjusted to life outside his cell, including his relationship with Anderson.

“I hope she can come back here, when her parole is over, live with him, live with him and get to know him,” he explained.

“She’s grown up and she’s been told what to do with her life. We hope she doesn’t do that, but like I told her, if things don’t work out, I’ll be there to help pick up the pieces.”

“I really hope things work out,” he added. “Ryan is a great person. He loves her for all the right reasons.”
