Google hints Apple will support RCS this fall | TechCrunch


Google briefly shows a section New Google Messages page Apple is said to be rolling out Rich Communications Services (RCS) support for iPhones this fall, suggesting the iPhone maker may expand RCS support in the upcoming iOS 18 update.

The first thing this page found was 9 to 5 google, details the benefits of RCS. One of the sections has a label “Coming soon on iOS” titled “Better messaging for everyone.”

The card is now invisible on the page, but the text indicates that it is still in the page’s source code.

“Apple has announced that it will adopt RCS in the fall of 2024. Once implemented, this will mean a better messaging experience for everyone,” the description reads.
