Millions of homeowners across the country are seeking help through COVID-19 mortgage forbearance, which Congress established in the wake of the pandemic to allow people who lost income to skip part of their mortgage payments.
For many, things are going well. But others have serious problems and can’t get back on track with affordable mortgage payments once their financial situation returns to normal.
